We're James and Vicki West. We met at a design studio in London and since then we've added two kids and an overexcited dog to our tribe. After years of designing for household names in international agencies, we decided to build something of our own. A studio built specifically for founder-led challenger brands doing things differently.

Who are we?

James, the creative renegade. He has spent over 15 years working across agencies including Freuds, Brand & Deliver, Raydar (NZ), delivering work for Google, KFC, L'Oréal, Ben & Jerry's and Lewis Hamilton. James knows how the big guys do it and now he uses that knowledge to give challengers the same firepower, without the price tag or the politics.

Vicki, the strategic voice of reason. She brings over 20 years in design, advertising, and marketing. Working with the likes of ADM Indicia, Tag Worldwide and Strattons with clients including Coca-Cola, Heineken, KitKat, Gucci and Nissan. Vicki makes sure every decision pulls its weight, not just looks good. She's the reason nothing slips through the cracks.

Together, we bring the best of both worlds: big-picture thinking and pixel-perfect execution. Everything we do happens in an open, collaborative way because the best work happens when we genuinely care about the outcome.

Why we started ATCW

We wanted to work with founders. So we built a studio for them.

We launched ATCW in 2025 after realising the founders who needed senior creative thinking the most were the ones least likely to get it. We knew there was a better way to work and a whole world of founder-led brands that deserved better than what most agencies were offering them.

Just two senior creatives, working directly with the people who started the business. You get both of us on every project, fully invested in your brand from day one.

Between us we cover the full picture: brand identity, packaging, art direction, and everything in between. Our skillsets complement each other so nothing slips through the cracks. And more than that, you get partners who are genuinely invested in what you're building.
