The Legal Bit
This website (www.atribecalledwest.co) is owned and operated by A Tribe Called West Ltd ("we" or "us"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our site and apply to all creative services provided. We may update these from time to time, so check back here to stay in the loop.
1. Starting Work
When you accept a quote, submit a creative brief, and pay your deposit, you’re agreeing to these terms.
2. Payment Terms
We require a 50% deposit to kick things off. The remaining 50% is due before final delivery.
Deposits are non-refundable.
If you change your mind mid-project, a pro-rata fee will be charged based on time spent.
For projects longer than 4 weeks, a progress invoice of 50% of the balance will be sent monthly.
All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
Late payments:
Overdue invoices incur a £75 late fee.
After 14 days overdue, a 5% weekly charge is added.

3. Portfolio Use
You agree we can showcase completed work in our portfolio, once it’s publicly launched. If you want to keep it confidential, let us know in writing.
4. Force Majeure
We’re not liable for delays caused by stuff beyond our control—think power cuts, riots, pandemics, or alien invasions.
5. Scope & Additional Work
Our proposal/quote outlines what’s included. Anything beyond that is considered out of scope.
We include two rounds of minor changes (text tweaks, colour shifts, etc.) within 10 days of delivery.
Additional rounds or more extensive changes are charged at £150/hour.
You’ll always be informed before extra costs are incurred.
6. File Delivery & Usage
Final files are delivered once the full payment is received. If you lose them later, we can re-send them for £40 (within 2 years). Need files on USB or hard drive? £40 + postage covers it.
7. Intellectual Property & Copyright
We retain ownership of all concepts and design elements until full payment is received.
Upon payment, you gain full usage rights to the final approved assets.
We reserve the right to reuse or display work (including unused concepts) in our portfolio and marketing.
RAW files, fonts, stock imagery, and source files remain our property unless otherwise agreed.
8. Liability
We’re committed to high standards, but:
We’re not liable for indirect losses like missed revenue or emotional trauma over font choices.
Final approval is on you. We won’t cover the cost of errors you’ve signed off on.
All work is delivered free of third-party IP infringement (as far as humanly possible).
9. Cancellation Policy
If you cancel:
The deposit is non-refundable.
If over 50% of the project is complete, you’ll owe for time spent (at £150/hour).
If we cancel (rare, but life happens), your deposit will be fully refunded.
10. Confidentiality
We’ll keep your secrets safe. Our team and any contractors we work with sign NDAs and follow strict confidentiality guidelines.
11. Late Payments & Default
After 30 days overdue, we may pause all services.
We reserve the right to pursue collections and legal action.
All work remains our property until invoices are paid in full.
12. Final Checks
It’s your job to proof content before sign-off. Once approved, it’s locked in—no do-overs unless agreed, and they may incur costs.
13. Colour & Print
Printed colour may vary from your screen. That’s normal and not grounds for reprint/refund.
14. International Clients
We work with clients globally. Most collaboration happens digitally—email, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, etc.
15. Final Notes
Creative work is subjective. We work hard to nail the brief, but we can’t guarantee you’ll love every pixel. Let’s stay in dialogue to get it right.
